Before the call

Four facts make the first conversation useful.

No technical vocabulary is required. Describe the work as it operates today.

Work

What repeats?

Describe the input, the expected output, who does it now, and what makes the work slow or inconsistent.

Data

What must stay controlled?

Identify the kinds of documents or systems involved and any contractual, regulatory, or customer restrictions.

Result

What would count as better?

State the target for quality, turnaround, correction burden, availability, or operating cost.

Site

Where would it run?

Share the likely facility, rack, power, network, and user environment if a customer-owned server is under consideration.

Email

Start in writing

Send a plain description of the workflow. Do not attach confidential files, credentials, protected records, or customer data to the first email.
